Serves as the command's authority for all internal control activities including policy and guidance and as the primary representative for the Risk Management and Internal Control (RMIC) program for all resources managed by USTRANSCOM.
Conducts risk assessment, ensures proper testing of internal controls, development of corrective action plans and monitors progress through completion and validation of correction of identified weaknesses.
Ensures preparation and submission of an annual Statement of Assurance (SOA).
Communicates with USTRANSCOM leadership and directorate, the Transportation Component Commands (TCC's), OUSD(C), and other government officials regarding program requirements.

Qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
Verifying and validating internal controls as they pertain to operations, financial reporting and systems using a risk-based approach at an enterprise level.
Performing quality assurance reviews over financial transactions to ensure compliance with requirements in the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular No.
A-123.
Analyzing financial and operational processes to develop test plans and tests to determine effectiveness of internal controls.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.
g.
, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.
g.
, professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
Additional information This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position.
IAW Public Law 112-81 and DoD Policy the incumbent shall comply with the requirements of DoD FM Certification program within the allotted time frame.
